Job description
As part of strengthening our OPS department, we are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Border Control team. The Border Control team, located in Amsterdam Schiphol-Rijk and in Toulouse - France, is responsible for perimeter protection, ensuring the security and monitoring of our organization's network boundaries.
You will be in charge of safeguarding our network flows and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
- Design, deploy, and maintain perimeter security solutions (firewalls, proxies, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPNs, etc.).
- Manage daily security incidents related to network perimeter and participate in the resolution of major incidents.
- Perform risk analyses, propose, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with network, systems, and development teams to ensure comprehensive and coherent security.
- Draft and update technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Participate in technology watch and assessment of new security solutions.
- Ensure security measures comply with internal standards and current regulations.
Requirements
Do you have experience in VPN?, * Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, preferably in demanding environments.
- knowledge of network security architectures and related technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, DNS, proxy, etc.).
- experience with solutions such as Fortinet, Checkpoint, Native cloud firewall solutions.
- Good understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.) and related security issues.
- Ability to work in a team, manage priorities, and handle crisis situations.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a strong sense of confidentiality.
- Technical English required.
Nice to have :
- Proficiency with scripting tools (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure, GCP)
