Job description
We're looking for a skilled and proactive Cloud Engineer to join our team and help us scale and secure our multi-tenant SaaS cloud infrastructure. You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving our AWS-based environment, ensuring performance, reliability, and security across all components.
Your responsibilities will include:

Operate and maintain a secure, scalable AWS organization supporting multiple environments and tenants.

Monitor performance and availability of our SaaS cloud infrastructure.

Keep cloud components (e.g., databases, storage, compute) secure and up to date.

Recommend and implement improvements to architecture, performance, and security.

Maintain and enhance the security posture of our AWS organization and infrastructure.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices., * The position initially offered is for 40 hours on an (initial) 7-month contract with the view to becoming permanent.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Unreal Engine?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Strong hands-on experience with AWS, especially:
- DynamoDB
- OpenSearch
- S3
- Familiarity with:
- SQS
- EventBridge
- Lambda
- Experience with AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) using TypeScript.
- Proven experience operating an AWS Organization for a multi-environment, multi-tenant SaaS offering.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and performance monitoring.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation., * AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus).
- Familiarity with containerization (e.g., ECS, EKS, Docker).
- Knowledge of cost optimization strategies in AWS.
