Job description

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused VIP IT Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Amsterdam. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing exceptional end-user experiences while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and technical expertise., * Provide first-line and VIP technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues.

  • Walk users through application installations, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Perform remote and on-site support using diagnostic tools and clear, user-friendly communication.
  • Customize desktop applications and settings to meet user or departmental needs.
  • Record and track issues, resolutions, and user feedback in service logs.
  • Escalate complex incidents and coordinate with higher-level support teams.
  • Support device imaging, deployment, and configuration across the network.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset and inventory records.
  • Deliver high-quality, discreet support to VIP users., * Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Familiarity with MDM tools and asset management systems.
  • Understanding of endpoint security and data protection best practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, or ITIL Foundation are advantageous.

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, Office 365, OneDrive, Intune, and ServiceNow.
  • Experience in Walk-in IT Service Centers and VIP Support environments.
  • Familiarity with Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of network security, antivirus, and office automation tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience working in Agile and ITIL-based service environments.
