Job description
- Capture and manage spatial data for grounds maintenance and assets using GIS systems.
- Create and update digital maps for project support.
- Work with the GIS team to ensure data is available via web mapping services.
- Provide GIS advice, solutions, and training.
- Ensure data compliance with standards like GEMINI, INSPIRE, GDPR, and PSMA.
- Collaborate with the Leisure team to meet project goals.
- Develop and implement procedures for data management and analysis.
- Promote GIS services within the council.
- Adhere to council policies on data protection, health and safety, and equal opportunities.
Person Specifications
Requirements
Do you have experience in QGIS?, * Degree level education or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in a GIS role.
- Ability to capture and manage data accurately.
- Understanding of databases and data quality issues.
- Ability to produce accurate maps using cartographic principles.
- Working knowledge of GIS software, preferably QGIS or Cadcorp.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
Nice to Have
- Experience in leading and delivering GIS projects.
