This is achieved through the building of relationships across wider GSS and BT, challenging the current ways of working and identifying innovative approaches that enable the department to work more effectively and efficiently with agility and a customer centric focus. This job role can be based in Sheffield, Manchester, Ipswich and Cheltenham. Onsite (Office based 5 days per week). Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week. You will need to be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance before starting this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10+ years to be eligible.

What you'll be doing

• Manages the implementation of network policies and procedures, including envisioning and shaping network policy

• Manages the design of network topologies, architectures, and services that solve complex business requirements

• Coordinates the collaboration efforts with other engineering teams to automate various processes, owning capacity planning and implementation

• Manages team members to deploy, and operate infrastructure, including the implementation of the design and evolution of network architecture

• Manages and executes efforts to optimise network performance by growing and modifying existing networks, leveraging new and emerging technologies in support of application services

What we'd like to see on your CV

• Ownership of network/platform operations and deliverables
• Cisco CCNP (R&S and/or Security) Certified or equivalent experience
• Design, test, delivery and/or support of Cisco Routing, Switching and Firewall platforms
• Experience as 2nd and 3rd line support of IP network solutions
• People management
