Job description

Working closely with the Lead Automation Engineer to develop custom programs. Tasks will include editing the database, creating new Forms, Classes, Server Procedures etc. This will require understanding many aspects of the company, such as manufacturing processes, costing calculations, engineering calculations, and incorporating them into the program.
Working on the database to allow a full SQL backend to enable quick access to design data.
Engaging with the users, to understand business needs so to determine what direction development should take. This may involve making key decisions independently and quickly adapting current code to meet new requirements.
Assisting in the creating a roadmap of development for planning purposes.
Documenting the source code and user-manuals for the programs.
Training key users in how to use the various programs.
Assisting in other key areas of business systems, such as the company SharePoint based intranet system, and management of Autodesk Vault and many more.

Requirements

This is a fantastic opportunity for you, an experienced C# Developer / C# Software Developer, to join a leading organisation's Development team, working remotely.

This will be a varied role although with keen focus on a major software project being built in C# with SQL, which is a design application, incorporating cost modelling, 2D and 3D graphics, automated PDF generation, complex document control and with high effective communication with the existing ERP and other applications., Must have a proven track record in creating and managing complex programs.

Experience using:

C# / VB.NET
Winforms, WPF and Visual Studio
Database management using SQL Server Management Studio
Using and developing APIs for various other programs and systems, e.g. SalesForce, P6, Sharepoint etc.
