Job description

  • Stabilise and optimise the backend to ensure the platform can handle rapid user growth (needs to be a hands-on coder).
  • Lead design and implementation of scalable cloud architecture (AWS-based).
  • Define and embed engineering best practices (CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, testing).
  • Lead 2 other developers as part of a tight-knit team.
  • Work closely with CEO/founder, AI Tech Lead and an ANDi Product Manager.

Requirements

  • Python (Django framework)
  • Strong AWS / cloud infrastructure knowledge (including autoscaling, monitoring, and security).
  • Integration/API engineering (Xero or similar SaaS APIs)
  • Deep backend engineering expertise, with experience scaling SaaS products desirable.
  • Ability to operate hands-on, in a fast paced start-up environment.

Benefits & conditions

6 month contract to start in September, up to £650 per day.
