Job description

In this role as IT Technical Support Engineer, you will be part of the Support Team, working to the Lead Service Desk Engineer. You will work as part of an IT team building and ensuring systems are operationally maintained.

The candidate must have the ability to understand and apply rules associated with information assurance as directed by the Serbus security team.

The Role

  • Work as part of a service desk team ensuring both internal and customer systems are operationally maintained
  • Provide 1st/2nd/3rd (experience depending) line technical telephone support
  • Resolve 1st/2nd/3rd (experience depending) line technical issues and work with 2nd and 3rd line to resolve more complex issues
  • Work on Linux and Windows servers
  • Work with Mobile Device Management and Secure Mobile applications
  • Mobile device setup and configuration including iOS, Android and Windows
  • Follow and work to existing business continuity and security processes
  • 5 days a week here at our office in Rotherwas, Hereford, 9-5

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microsoft Windows Server?, Do you have a BTEC?, * A great attitude and work ethic

  • Any level of experience Technical Support Engineer, looking to develop their career
  • A person with BTEC, A Level or similar qualification in an IT related subject
  • A logical and methodical thinker, prepared to self teach and explore new areas of IT
  • Experience of Windows and/or Linux Servers is desirable
  • UK Nationals only who are prepared to work with Serbus to gain UK Government Security Clearance.
  • Roughly 1 years experience in the industry is preferred.
