Job description

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer who can handle both 2nd and 3rd line support.\n\nYou will be the person that mentors our 1st line engineer and who they turn to when issues need deeper investigation.\n\nYou will take ownership of escalated tickets, diagnose and resolve complex technical problems and help prevent issues from reoccurring by identifying root causes.<\/p>

This is a hands on role based on site.\n\nAt times you will need to work directly on the factory floor or complete basic physical tasks such as installing hardware or setting up equipment.\n\nOccasional travel to other Conservatory Outlet Group companies may also be required.\n\nOther responsibilities include:<\/p> \r\n

  • Handling escalated support tickets from 1st line<\/li>
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex software, hardware and network issues<\/li>
  • Administering Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and user permissions<\/li>
  • Supporting Microsoft 365 and device management through Intune and Endpoint Manager<\/li>
  • Managing installation, upgrades and system maintenance tasks<\/li>
  • Documenting fixes and helping build internal knowledge bases<\/li>
  • Providing guidance and support to the wider IT team<\/li><\/ul>\r\n

Requirements

  • Experience in a 2nd or 3rd line support role<\/li>
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration<\/li>
  • Good understanding of networking including routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs and firewalls<\/li>
  • Familiarity with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper V<\/li>
  • Confident troubleshooting more advanced technical issues<\/li>
  • Able to follow through on problems and take responsibility for outcomes<\/li>
  • Clear communicator who can explain issues in a straightforward way<\/li><\/ul>\r\n
