Job description
The Automation Test Analyst will report to the Head of Product Development and works closely with 2 other automation test analysts (lead and intermediate). The incumbent will be responsible for testing and supporting the frameworks for our web-based application.

Below, is a brief description of the expected product the candidate will be working on :
You will help build, extend and maintain our range of products including Equisoft / transfer, / pay, / trade and Pension Fusion. These are industry leading SaaS products used by numerous UK investment and pension companies to transfer portfolios of assets, invest in pensions, handle pension payroll and pension tax reporting. Our latest product in development, Pension Fusion, is the leading solution to provide pension data to the government's pension dashboard initiative. This will give individuals one dashboard to see all their pensions.
Your Day with Equisoft
Design, write, execute, and maintain automated tests and the supporting frameworks for :
- UI automated testing.
- Web services and API testing.
- Performance testing for API and data load processes.
- Conduct peer code reviews.
- Write and maintain documentation for automated tests.
- Manage and create associated test cases in our test management tool (TestRail), ensuring alignment with automated tests and reporting of results.
- Maintain and update visual test baselines (Applitools) to reflect expected UI changes.
Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, preferably focused on web front-end and web applications

Background in UI and Web Service / API test automation or a strong desire to move into this field

Proven experience automating complex web user interfaces or a genuine interest and passion for learning

Familiarity with or willingness to learn tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, or Swagger for API / Web Service testing

Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid, and / or Applitools

Solid understanding of test design and requirements analysis

Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries and stored procedures in SQL Server

Awareness of the business environments and contexts into which solutions are deployed

Methodical, pragmatic approach to testing, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle

Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written) Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology or College Diploma combined to 3 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly in platforms, wealth management, pension administration and / or fund administration

Experience of building and maintaining automated test frameworks using Python

Good understanding of operation processes and systems

Experience of the Atlassian tool set (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo)

Excellent understanding of web services / API's

Experience integrating automated test frameworks with third-party tools such as TestRail
Benefits & conditions
- The position is hybrid, 2 days at the office (Wed and Thurs) and 3 days remote
- Full-time permanent role (Internal job title : Automation Test Analyst)
- Salary between £38 000 to £45 000
