Job description

Pin Point Recruitment is supporting our client in the search for an experienced IT Support Technician to join their team. This role will provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line support across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other endpoint hardware.

The successful candidate will be customer-focused, technically capable and able to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently to keep systems running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and maintain Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop environments

  • Provide 1st & 2nd line IT support via the Service Desk

  • Support users in both physical and VMWare virtual environments

  • Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software for desktop and mobile devices

  • Ensure communication systems deliver seamless service, resolving incidents promptly

  • Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange accounts and access permissions

  • Maintain secure file storage access and data protection

  • Support enterprise messaging (Microsoft Exchange) and unified communications (Mitel)

  • Travel to other UK sites as required and provide remote support

  • Adhere to ISO standards, security policies and Health & Safety compliance

  • Positively represent the business to staff, suppliers and customers

Requirements

  • Experience providing 1st & 2nd line IT support

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory & Exchange

  • Understanding of VMWare environments

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service capability

  • Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements)
