Job description

Network & Infrastructure Engineer - Kent - Exciting Opportunity to Shape a Modern Tech Environment

Are you a proactive Network & Infrastructure Engineer looking for a role where you can truly make an impact? This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking technology team that values collaboration, innovation, and hands-on problem solving.

In this role, you'll take ownership of network engineering while also working across wider infrastructure operations. You'll help maintain a secure, scalable, and high-performing environment, playing a key part in the continuous improvement of core systems and services.

If you enjoy variety, thrive in a team-based setting, and want to work with modern technologies across both on-prem and cloud, this could be the ideal next step.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing and optimising a diverse network estate spanning virtual platforms, cloud services, and WAN technologies.

Configuring and supporting firewalls, switches, routers, and load balancers.

Implementing updates, patches, and security enhancements in alignment with organisational standards.

Monitoring network health, identifying issues, and resolving performance bottlenecks.

Supporting backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.

Working with Microsoft Azure services and architecture.

Providing support across server infrastructure, including Dell hardware and iDRAC.

Requirements

Strong understanding of core networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, VPNs, and load balancing.

Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and Cisco switching (CLI skills essential).

Good knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory.

Ability to design, troubleshoot, and improve complex network environments.

Experience working across hybrid infrastructure and virtualised networks.

A collaborative approach with the ability to work closely with infrastructure and security teams.

Flexibility to support work outside typical hours when needed.

If you're looking for a role where you can grow, take real ownership, and help shape a secure and resilient infrastructure landscape, we'd love to hear from you.
