Job description

  • Solution Design: Develop secure and innovative solutions tailored to the needs of our internal European customers, ensuring alignment with project objectives and security standards.
  • Implementation and Change Management: Lead the implementation of new decentralized network and security solutions and manage changes to existing systems in collaboration with team members and external partners.
  • NAC/Radius Management: Play a pivotal role in the deployment and operational management of the NAC/Radius solution for Phoenix, ensuring successful integration and functionality.
  • DDI Solution Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the maintenance and daily operation of our DDI solution, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Infrastructure Operation: Oversee the operation of our Extreme Networks-based access control infrastructure and Cisco-based guest Wi-Fi solution, maintaining high standards of security and accessibility.
  • Documentation: Develop comprehensive design and operational documents to support the implementation and maintenance of network and security solutions.
  • Production Coordination: Facilitate the transition of new requests into production, coordinating with customers to manage downtimes, assess risks, and gather necessary input.
  • Availability Assurance: Ensure the continuous availability of delivered solutions by participating in on-call duties and occasionally working outside regular business hours, including weekends and public holidays, to accommodate special changes.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Completion of an apprenticeship or degree in IT specializing in system integration, or an equivalent, comprehensive IT qualification.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Extreme XIQ (formerly XMC) access control, or equivalent experience with other vendors' NAC solutions. Knowledge of Infoblox DDI solutions or equivalent experience.
  • Switching and Authentication: Experience in implementing and administering switching with Dot1x protocols.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with Cisco Switching and Extreme Wireless technologies is advantageous.
  • Network Security Knowledge: Solid understanding of network security principles and 802.1x authentication solutions.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrates an efficient, structured, and customer-focused approach, also in high-pressure situations.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the capability to develop sustainable solutions through effective documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in English at both business and technical levels, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
