Job description

As part of our Safety ECU team, you'll directly contribute to the reliability and safety of our autonomous vehicles:

  • Develop embedded C software for our safety-critical ECU, ensuring the highest standards of reliability.
  • Test your own code on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test benches and real-world autonomous prototypes.
  • Collaborate on safety certification, helping define and implement strategies for hardware and software components.
  • Co-design algorithms with technical experts to power safety functionalities.
  • Define and execute test plans, with a strong focus on automation, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Support your component from development to deployment, ensuring long-term maintainability.
  • Work closely with a Product Owner on effort estimates, risk assessments, and delivery planning.

Requirements

Technical Skills

Must-Have:

  • Embedded C Programming: Strong experience in low-level system development (bare-metal, bootloaders, register access).
  • System Tools: Comfortable with Git, Linux environments, shell scripting, GCC, and GDB.
  • Safety-Critical Software: Proven experience with unit testing, simulation, and validation.
  • Embedded OS Architecture: Solid understanding of RTOS and embedded system design.
  • CI/CD Awareness: Familiar with Jenkins, Docker, and automated build pipelines.

Nice-to-Have / Bonus:

  • Multicore Architecture: Experience with ARM-based platforms.
  • Python: Used for testing, automation, or scripting.
  • Debugging Tools: Familiarity with Lauterbach Trace32 or similar.
  • ISO 26262: Knowledge of functional safety standards for automotive or ADAS.

Soft Skills & Languages

  • Attitude: High level of rigor, autonomy, and a strong team spirit.
  • English: Professional working proficiency (written & spoken).
  • French: Fluent.
