In this important role, you'll help facilitate timely access to council properties for essential repairs, health and safety inspections, and statutory compliance works. Your work will directly support resident wellbeing, ensure legal obligations are met, and contribute to the Council's commitment to delivering high-quality housing services., This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative team focused on improving housing outcomes. - Supporting the access manager and assets team as a whole
- Ensure no property is left at risk due to missed appointments or non-compliance.
- Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams to resolve access issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records and support reporting for compliance and service improvement.
- Contribute to the development of access procedures that enhance resident experience and deliver value for money.
Support the end-to-end access service for council housing repairs, health and safety checks, and statutory compliance works. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining effective access protocols to ensure that all necessary works can be carried out within required timeframes, supporting the Council's commitment to resident safety and property maintenance.
Provide support & lead on resolving complex access issues, stepping in once contractors or service providers have made all reasonable attempts to gain entry. You will coordinate with internal teams, legal services, housing officers, and where appropriate, residents and their representatives, to facilitate successful outcomes and avoid delays to critical works.
Continuously assess and enhance access procedures with a focus on improving the resident experience, reducing missed appointments, and increasing operational efficiency. You will monitor performance data, identify patterns or recurring barriers, and implement solutions that drive service improvement.
Ensure full compliance with housing legislation, health and safety regulations, and internal policies, including data protection, safeguarding, and equality standards. You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and ensuring they are reflected in day-to-day access practices.
Deliver a high-quality, cost-effective service that maximises value for money while maintaining rigorous standards. Requirements
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
