Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced QA/Test Engineer to join the team on an inside IR35 contract. This role will focus on ensuring quality and reliability during a major cloud migration initiative so experience with applications on AWS with Python would be beneficial., * Define and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases for cloud migration projects.

• Perform functional, regression, system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Validate application behaviour and data integrity before and after migration.
• Test cloud infrastructure components including compute, storage, networking, and security configurations.
• Execute non-functional testing such as performance, scalability, availability, and resilience testing.
• Support security and compliance testing in cloud environments.
• Automate test cases where applicable using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, cloud engineers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support deployment and cutover testing, including smoke and sanity tests.
