We have an opportunity for Flexible Pipe Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering worldwide offshore deep-water projects. Based in Basingstoke, you will join our clients Subsea Systems team and contribute to the full lifecycle of unbonded flexible pipe systems-from feasibility studies and FEED to execution and commissioning. This is an opportunity to shape innovative subsea solutions that support global energy initiatives., As Senior Engineer, you will:
- Develop and deliver technical documentation across all project phases (Conceptual, FEED, Tender, Contract).
- Oversee large EPCI contracts for offshore flexible pipe systems, ensuring compliance and quality during tender and execution.
- Guarantee designs meet project requirements, international codes, and industry best practices.
- Lead supplier engagement, including tender calls, qualification, and selection processes.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables from contractors.
- Collaborate across disciplines within the Subsea Systems department to drive integrated solutions.
- Ensure adherence to design standards, company internal procedures, and HSEQ policies.

Requirements
We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience in flexible pipe engineering from concept through detailed design.
- Proficiency in MS Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience with mechanical finite element analysis tools (Ansys, Abaqus, Cosmosworks).
- Familiarity with dynamic analysis software (Orcaflex).
- Knowledge of bonded flexible pipe technology (advantageous).
- Expertise in unbonded flexible flowlines, risers, and ancillaries, including topsides, subsea, and installation interfaces.
- Strong background in safety reviews (HAZOP, HAZID), risk assessments, and contractor/vendor supervision.
- Hands-on experience supporting offshore testing and commissioning.
- Solid understanding of international subsea standards (API 17J, API 17L1, API 17B, API 17K). Desired Skills and Experience
