Job description

We are seeking an experienced Avaloq Developer with deep expertise in Treasury, Foreign Exchange (FX), and Money Market products. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Avaloq Core Banking solutions, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of treasury operations. This role requires strong Avaloq development experience, comprehensive knowledge of treasury products, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions., Avaloq Development & Customization

  • Design, develop, and implement changes within the Avaloq Core Banking system (e.g., ACP customizations, scripting, parameterization, reporting).
  • Enhance and maintain Avaloq modules specific to Treasury, FX, and Money Market products.
  • Implement and optimize workflows, order types, and settlement processes within Avaloq.

Treasury & Capital Markets Support

  • Collaborate with treasury stakeholders to understand business needs across FX, MM, and structured products.
  • Configure Avaloq to support new treasury instruments, deal capture, pricing, and settlement workflows.
  • Support risk, P&L, and accounting processes within Avaloq for treasury-related products.
  • Integration & Interfaces
  • Work on Avaloq interfaces to trading platforms (e.g., Murex, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Calypso, Kondor+) and downstream systems.
  • Ensure smooth end-to-end trade lifecycle from capture to settlement.
  • Support development of interfaces for regulatory and compliance reporting.

Change & Incident Management

  • Analyze and resolve production issues within the Avaloq treasury domain.
  • Provide 3rd-level support and root cause analysis for system defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system upgrades, patches, and release cycles.

  • Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Treasury teams to capture requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise during solution design and architecture reviews.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies (refinements, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Requirements

Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience as an Avaloq Certified Customization Professional (ACP) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Avaloq scripting, PL/SQL, parameterization, and data model.
  • Hands-on experience in Avaloq treasury modules and customization frameworks.

Domain Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of Treasury operations, including FX spot/forward, swaps, MM deposits/loans, repos, and derivatives.
  • Knowledge of front-to-back trade lifecycle, risk management, settlement, and accounting.
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting (EMIR, MiFID, Dodd-Frank) and compliance in treasury environments.

Other Skills

  • Experience with Avaloq integration frameworks (AIS, APS, ACP tools, Web Services).
  • Strong database skills (Oracle PL/SQL).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

  • Avaloq certification (ACP - Core / Treasury).
  • Previous experience in Wealth Management / Private Banking environments.
  • Exposure to Cloud-based Avaloq environments and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Jira).
  • Experience with scripting languages (Java, Python, Shell) for automation.
