Requirements
Required Skills:Strong experience as a SQL Server DBA and/or Oracle DBA supporting enterprise environmentsHands-on experience with migration tools and techniques for both SQL Server and OracleSkilled in backup and recovery operations, performance tuning and troubleshootingKnowledge of building and administering SQL Server or Oracle on Azure VMs or co-lo platformsUnderstanding of networking fundamentals relevant to database connectivityExperience supporting or migrating:
SQL Server databasesOracle databasesDatabases underpinning .NET, web or client-server applications
Ability to diagnose complex database issues during high-pressure migration eventsComfortable working within structured change control processes
Preferred SkillsExperience with Azure SQL or SQL Managed InstanceExperience with Oracle on Azure or hybrid environmentsScripting capability using PowerShell, T-SQL or PL/SQLPrevious involvement in large-scale migration or datacentre exit programmes
