Youll be responsible for designing, improving, and supporting cloud and on-prem infrastructure, while driving automation and best practice across the environment.Youll work closely with technical and non-technical teams, acting as a subject-matter expert, mentoring others, and helping the business scale securely and efficiently. The organisation actively supports professional development, including training and certifications, and offers clear long-term progression.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain infrastructure across AWS and private cloud platformsLead infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform and AnsibleBuild and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)Implement monitoring and observability solutions to improve visibility and performanceCollaborate with internal teams to enhance system reliability, resilience, and securityManage hybrid networking, IAM, firewalls, and VPNsParticipate in an on-call rota and support incident response when requiredProduce clear technical documentation and contribute to operational best practiceSkills & Experience RequiredEssential:5+ years experience in a DevOps or cloud infrastructure roleStrong hands-on AWS experienceExperience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or ProxmoxSolid Linux administration skillsInfrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible)Containerisation and orchestration experience (e.g. Kubernetes / EKS)Scripting ability in Bash, Python, or GoGood understanding of networking and cloud security conceptsDesirable:AWS certificationsExperience with container or infrastructure security tools (e.g. Trivy)Whats on OfferSalary up to £65,000 depending on experienceHybrid working modelStrong focus on training, development, and certifications24 days holiday plus bank holidaysPension and life assurancePrivate medical coverBirthday day off and paid volunteering dayCycle to Work schemeRetail and lifestyle discountsInterested?If youre looking for a senior DevOps role where your ideas are listened to and your technical decisions matter, this could be a great next step.
