Job description

This person will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support to clients both remotely and on-site. The role involves handling escalations from 1st Line, resolving complex technical issues, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of client systems and internal processes., * Provide remote and on-site IT support to clients.

  • Resolve escalated issues across hardware, software, and network environments.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
  • Support networking technologies including switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and VLANs.
  • Assist with cloud services, backups, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Support endpoint and mobile device management solutions (e.g. Intune / MDM).
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attend client sites as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working for an MSP or within an education IT environment (schools, academies, or trusts).
  • Proven experience in an IT Support role (1st/2nd Line).

Strong technical knowledge of:

  • Windows Server.
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Azure AD / Entra ID.
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, Wi-Fi).
  • A full UK driving licence (or equivalent) is required.
