Job description
A fantastic opportunity to join a small but established team. Working predominately from the office, your main duties will be to provide 1st and 2nd line support for IT queries. Some site visits are necessary, so a car and willingness to travel is needed., · Desktop, server, application and cloud support in a predominantly Microsoft environment.
· Responding to client emails and support calls and updating them on issue status.
· Advanced diagnosis on PCs, peripherals and applications.
· Administrative tasks within department, such as reporting and documentation.
· To ensure that commitments to customers are delivered.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Virtualization?, You will be professional, initiative-taking and have an aptitude for IT. You must possess excellent written, verbal communication and organisational skills.
Salary is dependent on experience, a minimum of 24 months experience in a similar role is required., · To always demonstrate professional behaviour to customers & colleagues.
Required Technical Skills and Experience
· Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage and operating systems
· Knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs.
· Network design, configuration and troubleshooting.
· Experience with Wi-Fi technologies, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
· Knowledge of perimeter security, including firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and traffic filtering.
· Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure).
· Office 365 administration, including Intune, Azure and Entra.
· Microsoft products, including Office, Power Apps, SharePoint and Teams.
· Patch management using Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools.
· Endpoint investigation and remediation.
· Understanding of cybersecurity principles
Preferred Technical Skills and Experience
· Threat detection and remediation using EDR tools.
· Vulnerability and penetration testing, Cyber Essentials auditing.
· Hosted Telephony.
· Virtualisation technologies, including Hyper-V, VMware, and Proxmox.
· Apple and Linux environments.
Any further certifications in IT an advantage but not essential.
