Job description
- As a Test Platform Engineer, you monitor and ensure the optimal working of the platform. You take the lead to coordinate and execute fixes yourself or in collaboration with other (supporting) teams (hardware, software, config or user data related);
- You are responsible for the capacity planning. You monitor how many tests need to be run and ensure this is done as efficiently and optimally as possible with the available resources. You make proposals to further improve where needed;
- You know how the DTA Platform works and are the single point of contact for the testers if there are any questions about the platform;
- You are the link between all the teams that work with/for the DTA Platform (DTA devs, HW makers, Test teams);
- You promote the DTA so that other teams or departments can also use this platform for testing products/apps/software
Requirements
- Master's degree in industrial engineering, computer science or related area
- At least additional experience in two of the following domains:
- Multiple platforms (IOS, Android, Windows, Mac)
- Embedded Software
- Test automation (RobotFramework, Jenkins, other CI/CD tools,…)
- Electronics
- IoT (mqtt, https,…)
- Possess analytical skills and eye for detail and quality
- Strong coordinating ability, communicative and assertive when required
- Think critically and out of the box during troubleshooting
- Fully conversational in English

About the company
Shortly after the establishment of the European Design Center (EDC), the EMEA Electrics and control department was created. It is one of the fastest growing departments in order to facilitate and ensure the strong future growth of Daikin. This department is located in Ghent, Technology Park.
