Senior Network Engineer

What you'll be doing:

• Designing, implementing and troubleshooting advanced networking solutions using VMWare NSX-T
• Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) ensuring optimal network performance and fault tolerance
• Leading the configuration and deployment of core network infrastructure
• Architecting and deploying modern private cloud datacentre solutions
• Implementing robust security solutions in line with NCSC good practice

Do you have experience in VMware?, * Extensive experience in design, implementing and troubleshooting, particularly with Distributed Firewall components, micro-segmentation and Logical Networks

• In-depth understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP with proven ability to optimise and manage network performance
• Proficient in core network technologies, including Leaf and Spine network architecture, Overlay networks, Dual Cloud DMVPN solutions and Cisco product lines (Nexus, IOS-XE, FirePower, ISE)
• Comprehensive understanding of modern private cloud datacentre architectures, with hands-on experience in configuring and deploying networks across a variety of scenarios
• Expertise in security implementationssuch as AAA, 802.1x and proxy services, following NCSC good practice guidelines
• Extensive experience within the UK Defence sector is advantageous
