End User Compute Platform Engineer

This is your chance to join a truly iconic global company. Due to ongoing company expansion, we now have an opportunity for an End User Compute Platform Engineer to join my clients team.

You will help help manage, support and optimise our clients digital workspace environment. This is a technical role suited to someone with strong hands-on experience across desktop and application delivery platforms, device management, user authentication, and collaboration tools including Microsoft 365, Teams and Intune.

You will play a key part in ensuring the end user computing platforms remain secure, efficient and aligned with business needs. Working alongside the Infrastructure and Service Operations teams, you will take ownership of day-to-day platform administration, troubleshooting, service improvement and delivering enhancements across devices, user profiles, and workplace applications.

This role is ideal for an engineer ready to step up into broader EUC & M365 responsibilities, while remaining hands-on with technology and user support., Microsoft 365 Administration

• Administer and support Exchange Online, including mail flow, security, transport rules and shared mailbox management.
• Manage SharePoint Online sites, permissions, access governance, and support site owners with structure and best practice.
• Administer Teams and OneDrive, including policies, lifecycle and governance.
• Perform licence management, group management and identity configuration within Entra ID.

End User Compute Platform Administration

• Administer and support all end user devices via SCCM and Intune

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain MFA, Conditional Access and identity security controls.
• Support compliance configurations including retention policies, DLP and auditing.
• Assist in reviewing security alerts and supporting remediation activities.

Service Improvement & Support

• Resolve escalated issues from the Service Desk and act as a subject matter expert across the M365 suite and End User Compute platforms.
• Contribute to service documentation, playbooks, and best practice standards.
• Support ongoing M365 adoption, ensuring colleagues make effective use of the tools available.

Projects & Enhancements

• Deliver small to medium changes within the tenant such as policy updates, permission reviews, migrations, or service rollouts.
• Assist with larger transformation projects alongside senior engineers and architects.

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in SharePoint?, Strong, demonstrable experience administering Microsoft 365 services in a mid-size or enterprise environment.

-Good knowledge of:

• Exchange Online (mail flow, permissions, security)
• SharePoint Online (sites, libraries, permissions, structure)
• Entra ID (identity, groups, Conditional Access)
• Teams & OneDrive
• SCCM (Device & application management)
• Intune (device compliance, configuration profiles)

-Understanding of Microsoft 365 security, governance and compliance features.

-Clear written communication and the ability to document processes effectively., * Do you have access to your own transport & a driving licence?

• Do you have a good commercial knowledge of: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Entra ID, Teams, One Drive, SCCM and Intune?
• Has your commercial experience been gained working for a mid-sized or enterprise sized organisation?
• Are you located within a 60 minute commute from my clients location in Leicester?

Experience:
