Job description
They are looking to hire a Software Engineer with strong Python experience and exposure to cloud and modern infrastructure tooling, to work on the development and evolution of secure software products.
This is a hands-on engineering role with involvement across design, development, testing and third-line support, working closely with other engineers and stakeholders across the business.
The role
- Develop and maintain Python-based software products and bespoke solutions
- Contribute to system design, technical specifications and documentation
- Work within Linux environments and modern CI/CD pipelines
- Support cloud-based deployments (public/private cloud)
- Investigate and resolve complex customer issues
- Contribute to planning, estimation and continuous improvement
- Provide third-line support when required
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, Essential
- Commercial experience as a Software Engineer (Python)
- Strong Linux experience (user level and troubleshooting)
- Bash / scripting experience
- Ability to contribute to technical design and solution thinking
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, engineering-led environment
Desirable
- Cloud experience (Azure and/or AWS)
- Infrastructure / DevOps tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins)
- Frontend exposure (React)
- Experience supporting production systems
Security & location
- Must be UK-based
- Able to obtain SC clearance
