Job description
Work on next gen technologies: - screen replication, advanced car integration, hybrid navigation, cloud integration, deep phone OS integration and using latest API from Android. Craft new and improved features and create engaging experiences. Use motion and animation to bring delight to interactions. Move the app forward rapidly, while sweating the details, * Maintain and modernize existing codebases, including legacy XML, Fragments, and older Android components.
- Build UI layers that consume APIs and integrate seamlessly with the NAV SDK.
- Write high-quality automated tests as part of a shift-left, developer-led testing approach.
- Use native Android testing frameworks, especially Espresso, for UI and functional tests.
- Collaborate with QA, product, and design teams to deliver reliable, user-friendly experiences.
- Help shape the next generation of automotive navigation technology, including EV-focused features.
- Stay aligned with Android/Google best practices and adopt new platform updates as they're released.
Requirements
Do you have experience in XML?, * Degree in Computer science or a similar field
- 10+ years of professional Android development experience.
- Expert-level Kotlin skills and strong experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Solid background with legacy Android technologies (XML layouts, Fragments, older patterns).
- Strong testing mindset - comfortable owning testing responsibilities day-to-day.
- Hands-on experience using Espresso or similar native testing frameworks.
- Good understanding of dependency injection (Dagger or Koin).
- Strong API consumption and integration skills.
- Ability to work with SDK-like architectures or mobile frameworks.
- A focus on clean architecture, code quality, and maintainability.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
