As a Network Integration Engineer, you'll play a crucial part in protecting London. You'll be part of our talented, tight-knit team, you will help to develop solutions for frontline policing operations.
Working with a small team, your work will include the development, testing and deployment of specialist systems and associated technology. The role is hands-on and you'll need an appropriate qualification or suitable experience in a technical engineering field. Above all, you'll need a great aptitude for solving problems and technical training will be given where appropriate.
The role can take you across London so you'll need a full UK driving licence. You may sometimes be working outside office hours, so you'll need to be flexible. And while this is an exciting role, your discretion is vital - which includes having or applying for MV/SC security level clearance. This is a supervisory role and leadership experience will be beneficial.

Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence - Category D1, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency license?, Do you have experience in Virtualization?, * Supervisory experience in an engineering or technical capacity
- Experience of working within a team
- Switching, routing, firewall and VPN experience
- Experience of working with vendors such as Cisco, Peplink and Arista
- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment
- Network architecture experience
- Experience of monitoring network performance, troubleshooting and resolving complex connectivity problems
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Collaboration with other teams, suppliers and stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
- A willingness to be flexible to meet operational demand, sometimes working outside normal business hours.
- UK Driving licence and willing to get C1/D1
Desirable skills and experience criteria:
- CCTV IP knowledge
- Experience working with and managing Linux Systems including Ubuntu, Debian
- Experience with scripting and automation including BASH, Python, Ansible and Terraform
- Project management experience
- Experience working with Virtualisation and containerisation including Docker, LXC, KVM and Promox
- Contract and account management
- CCNA and CCNP qualifications
- Video Management System experience including Flir Latitude, Milestone, Genetec and NX Witness
- Cellular and Wi-Fi technology
- A member of a professional engineering body e.g IET
- Evidence of a proactive Continued Professional Development program
