Job description
We're looking for an experienced Linux/Systems Engineer to join a leading organisation based-in Oxford, on an initial 3-month contract. As the Linux Platform/Systems Engineer you will work extensively with the development, QA, and support functions that company devices run on, and will be working extensively with Linux servers, hardware, storage, networking, programming, and performance testing.
This position will operate on a hybrid working basis with ideally two days per week onsite in Oxford and the rest remote. The contract has been deemed outside IR35.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Ubuntu?, The ideal Linux Systems Engineer will have some of the below:
- Strong experience with Linux - ideally Debian/Ubuntu
- Hardware experience (desktop and server architecture)
- Linux storage and filesystems
- Networking
- Scripting
