Solution Architect - Public Authority / Hermes / TOGAF / AWS

• Developing, documenting and communicating solution architectures (system and software architectures) according to TOGAF, primarily in the AWS environment
• Handing over the solution architecture to development. Support and review of development, testing, acceptance testing, and rollouts from an architectural perspective, including risk analysis and measures for fail-safe operation
• Close collaboration with enterprise architecture, business analysts, project management, IT operations, information security, development partners, and specialist departments to establish a shared vision
• Ensuring non-functional requirements such as information security, data protection, performance, scalability, availability, and maintainability
• Modeling architectures according to standardized notations (e.g., ArchiMate, BPMN, UML, etc.) using the tools and methods provided by the client
• Analysis of the existing IT landscape (specialized applications, registers, interfaces, infrastructure) and assessment of strengths, weaknesses, and risks
• Ensuring compliance with laws, administrative regulations, and IT policies
• Consideration of long lifecycles, stable operating models, and limited budgets in technology selection and architectural decisions
• Further development of administration-specific standards, architectural principles, guidelines, and reference architectures
• Evaluation of new technologies with regard to benefits, risks, security, and compliance in the administrative environment
• Identifying and presenting Synergy and optimization potential and development of improvement proposals
• Creation of technical decision-making criteria and documentation of decisions made
• Support of requirements management
• Development and maintenance of master plans, architecture roadmaps, and release plans for hardware, software, services, and infrastructures
• Support for the further development of the enterprise architecture and architecture governance
• Support and further development of IT skills and maturity in areas such as specification-driven development and test automation
• Support for tenders, including participation in evaluations

Do you have experience in UML?, * Excellent knowledge of modern cloud architectures on AWS

• AWS Cloud Solution Architect Certificate (Associate or Professional)
• TOGAF Certification (Foundation or higher)
• Hermes Certification (Foundation or higher)
• Tertiary level degree or further education in Business Informatics / Computer Science / Business Administration
• Solid experience in creating, implementing, and communicating solution architectures
• Ability to formulate and document architectural decisions transparently
• Good knowledge of IT security and integration architectures
• Experience with standardized notations (e.g., ArchiMate, BPMN, UML, etc.)
• Experience in software development, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
• Understanding of classic enterprise IT (legacy systems, hybrid scenarios) and operating models with external providers
• Good German and French skills
