Job description
Solution Design: Develop scalable, secure architectures for cloud and hybrid environments, translating business needs into actionable designs, incorporating security best practices from day one. Hands-On Delivery: Prototype, integrate, and deploy solutions using Python, Terraform, GitHub/Gitlab, docker, Kubernetes and other modern cloud-native tools. Technical Leadership: Lead technical delivery teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure quality across design and implementation. System Hardening: Implement secure-by-design configurations across cloud and hybrid environments, applying hardened baselines, enforcing least privilege access, and ensuring environments are resilient against threats through proactive security controls, monitoring, and continuous optimisation. Client Engagement: Build trusted relationships, gather requirements, and present solutions that deliver measurable value. Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation through proof-of-concepts, experimentation, and adoption of best practices. Winning Work & Market Presence: Partner with other members of the Architecture Practice to win new engagements, leading technical bid responses, solutioning, and client-facing workshops, while building Logiq's AI capability through IP development, case studies, and internal enablement.
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, adapting to various roles within client projects. Employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance which requires 5 years continuous UK address history at the point of application. Travel to client sites and Logiq offices will be required.
Requirements
Proven experience in solution architecture and hands-on delivery across cloud environments. Strong consulting and communication skills - comfortable engaging with clients and influencing decisions. Shipped production systems on Azure, AWS or GCP with operational ownership (you build it, you run it). IaC expertise (Terraform preferred) + CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) + container platforms (AKS/EKS). Understanding of security principles for cloud and enterprise systems, including the ability to design solutions with identity, logging and alerting, access control and data protection in mind. A passion for learning and experimenting with emerging technologies and sharing this knowledge with others. Experience with data engineering and pipelines, including ETL processes and working with both traditional relational databases and modern vector databases. An understanding of Site Reliability Engineering best practices and Platforms / DevOps best practices. Exposure to AI concepts such as LLMs, RAG, and agent-based systems (or a strong desire to learn). Experience previously working with central government and an understanding of government ways of working Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering best practices and Platforms / DevOps best practices.
