Senior Linux Engineer

Participate in cross-functional IT projects (development, network, security, and architecture teams).

• Design and implement new applications based on Linux servers and/or container technologies (DevOps).
• Conduct technical studies and market analysis to continuously improve compute and storage infrastructure.
• Perform architecture and technology studies.
• Define and execute Proofs of Concept (PoCs).

Systems Operations & Administration

• Install, configure, and harden Red Hat Linux servers (physical and virtual).
• Update automated deployment images.
• Administer and monitor Linux infrastructure.
• Perform OS troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Manage security patching and firmware updates.
• Administer Red Hat Satellite for patch management.
• Manage identities through Red Hat IdM.
• Manage application service accounts.
• Administer server certificates and configure SSH keys for non-interactive access.
• Manage servers using Ansible.
• Manage containers on Docker hosts and Kubernetes clusters.
• Administer the OS of Oracle physical clusters.

IT Operations & Governance

• Perform Incident and Problem Management (analysis, diagnosis, resolution).
• Manage Change and Configuration processes.
• Develop operational guidelines and procedures.
• Define operational requirements (team structure, competencies, tools, CMDB, Knowledge Base, etc.).
• Implement new operational solutions (production migration, documentation, operator training).
• Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs to improve operational quality and efficiency.

Do you have experience in VMware?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Fluent English required; French is considered an asset.

• Master's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Red Hat Linux (6.x, 7.x, 8.x).
• Automation using Ansible.
• Patch management with Satellite.
• Scripting (Shell, Python, Playbooks).
• System hardening and vulnerability management.
• VMware virtualization environments.
