We're looking for a Junior Product Owner to take responsibility for key areas within our Payments, Capital and Banking propositions .
This is an exciting opportunity to play a direct role in shaping how our merchants manage their money within the Epos Now ecosystem - increasing adoption, reducing friction, and driving new revenue streams.

Role Purpose
As Junior Product Owner - Payments & Embedded Finance, you will take ownership of defined areas across Payments, Capital and Banking.
Your focus will be on building excellent digital experiences that:
- Enable easy access to financial products
- Eliminate friction across key journeys
- Keep users within the Epos Now ecosystem
- Drive deeper customer loyalty and new revenue growth
Working alongside your Product peers, you'll own UX and customer journeys across your product lines, ensuring we hit forecasted adoption and revenue targets.
You'll collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Sales, Support and Marketing to deliver meaningful improvements that move us closer to our Payments & Embedded Finance vision.
What You'll Be Accountable For
Analysis
- Understand the competitive landscape and help position our propositions effectively
- Analyse funnel conversion data to identify friction points and optimisation opportunities
- Partner with Engineering to ensure robust journey monitoring is in place
- Use insights and data to prioritise enhancements and measure release effectivenessCollect and synthesise customer feedback
Discovery
- Identify and validate customer problems across setup, configuration and workflows
- Conduct customer interviews, call listening and behavioural observationBuild cross-functional alignment around priorities
Delivery
- Produce clear and detailed PRDs for new features and improvements
- Define success criteria and align stakeholders
- Support Engineering through sprint cycles
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans ensuring Sales, Support and Training are readyDeliver improvements in line with business targets
Data Ownership
- Provide consistent KPI reporting within your domainEnsure stakeholders have visibility on performance, risks and progress
Innovation
- Apply UX best practice to improve conversion and adoption
- Identify opportunities to apply AI to optimise journeys and create competitive advantageLeverage partner relationships to bring new features to market quickly

- Clear product and UX vision communicated internally
- Jira roadmap maintained and stakeholders aligned on risks and delivery
- Delivery within 10% variance to forecast
- 85%+ platform adoption across relevant journeys
- Fully mapped customer journeys with conversion tracking
- Internal teams trained and ready for releases
- NPS improvement within your product area (target +30)
- Successful GTM execution with minimal rework
- AI embedded into relevant journeys
- Weekly reporting delivered on time
- KPIs achieved across:
- Capital - revenue, number of loans, loan size, % adoption
- Banking / Cards - revenue, adoption, active accounts, funds held
- Payments - revenue, adoption, gross margin, ARPU
Requirements
Do you have experience in Process improvement?, This role would suit someone who:
- Has 2+ years' experience in a Product Owner role or a closely related function (Support, Product Ops, Data, Operations etc.)
- Is highly analytical and comfortable working with funnel and performance data
- Understands customer journey management
- Can identify improvement opportunities and develop practical solutions
- Communicates confidently with stakeholders at all levels
- Has experience with process improvement or project deliveryHas a strong interest in payments, fintech or embedded finance
