Fastly is expanding, and we are looking to hire a new Security Technical Account Manager to support some of our largest customers across the Asia Pacific region. In this role, your mission will be to foster strong, trust-based relationships with clients, ensuring they can confidently navigate the security landscape. You will serve as their advocate within Fastly, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in our products and services based on real-world feedback
What You'll Do:
- Own the Technical Relationship: Act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring clients feel supported and valued at every turn.
- Drive Security Success: Partner with clients to understand their security landscape and ensure Fastly's solutions align perfectly with their strategy, providing actionable advice to enhance their security posture.
- Strategic Project Management: Manage the successful delivery of Fastly's security projects, coordinating internal teams and managing timelines to meet milestones with high quality.

Requirements
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Solid background in cybersecurity, specifically Web Application Security, knowledge of the CVE program, DDoS mitigation, and incident management.
- Foundational Technology Experience: Experience with SaaS/Cloud or hybrid cloud deployments, web server platforms (Apache/NGINX/IIS), and Unix/Linux or Windows systems administration.
- Scripting Ability: Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, PHP, Unix/Linux Shell, C#, or other common web languages.
- Security Best Practices: Deep understanding of HTTP and API security best practices.
- Customer-Centric Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and build trust-based relationships.
We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP
- Hands-on experience with Varnish Configuration Language (VCL) or Edge Computing platforms
- Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role for a CDN or Cloud Security provider
- Fluency in a second language common in the EMEA region, such as French or German
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks like GDPR, PCI-DSS, or SOC2
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Background in professional services or technical consulting for enterprise-level clients
- Active participation in the cybersecurity community, such as contributing to open-source projects or speaking at industry conferences
