Job description

As the Product Owner Crypto, you are accountable for ASML's global PKI and Key Management services. These services include managing cryptographic keys, certificates, and advising and enabling secure communication channels. The role also involves third-party cryptographic services with business partners, suppliers, and customers, leveraging on-premises and cloud environments.

On a daily basis, you act as servant leader for the team. You maximize the value creation of the team by understanding the business needs, budgets and priorities and champion them within the team and towards stakeholders. Your understanding of the current services, backlog, lifecycle management, including new or improved services is key to keeping ASML secure and improving adoption and functionality. You are capable of challenging your team and enabling them to take responsibility for the delivery of committed output. You are fully confident to manage the stakeholders at all levels of the organization and not only understand the needs but also be able to (re)present your domain, both verbally and in writing.

You make it possible to safeguard integrity, confidentiality, authenticity of data by providing cryptographic means and consultancy. Digital identity is at the base of the implementation of any digital system that ASML uses to collaborate in a highly complex ecosystem. Considering the current and projected growth of ASML and its growing importance and attention on a global scale, it is essential to accelerate digital transformation, prevent cyber-attacks, simplify digital processes, increase the security levels of transactions and improve the user experience. A grasp of your responsibilities in this position:

  • End2End accountability for value creation on the services delivered by the team.
  • Translating ASML security and IT strategy into a Crypto vision, strategy and roadmap.
  • Be up to date within your domain regarding developments both internally as well as externally (such as Post-Quantum Computing, CRA and NIS2 Compliance, Crypto Agility) .
  • Ensuring the Team Backlog is visible, transparent and clear to all.
  • Accountable for the existing IT Services of your domain.

ASML IT is working Agile according SAFe 5.0 (Scaled Agile Framework 5.0). All Agile teams are organized in Agile Release Trains (ARTs). The Identity & Access Management (IAM) ART is responsible for providing state-of-the-art and seamless IAM and Cryptography capabilities and services to the whole of ASML (globally). All teams within the ART work Agile and adapt a DevOps way of working - you build it, you run it, you own it! The IAM ART consists of teams in the domains of Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Access Management (AM), Directory Services, Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Cryptography Services (CS). Each domain consists of approximately 2 teams, a Scrum Master and a Product Owner.

Together with the other Product Owners you support the Chief Product Owner to align with ASML's business objectives. You will report into the Security department within Risk and Business Assurance & Security (RBA&S), directly to the Head of Expertise Center Digital Identity.

Requirements

In a PO position you are naturally able to balance the different stakeholders within and outside the ASML domains. With your Agile/SAFe mindset you are easily able to manage and lead (by example) the teams and have the ability to make the right calls where needed. You have an agile mindset, an engaging personality and are able to communicate your vision effectively. To thrive in this job, the ideal candidate will also have:

  • Master's degree in IT or similar.
  • Minimal 3 years professional experience within IAM and specifically the cryptographic and PKI domain.
  • Strong security knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile / SAFe environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships on different levels in the organization.
  • Preferably prior working experience with HSMs, CAs, Security Officers/Auditors.
