Job description

A dynamic and growing IT Solutions Provider is looking for a Storage Sales Specialist to join their successful sales division. The role is to discover new prospects, penetrate targeted market segments and create new opportunities in both new and existing accounts.

As a Storage Sales Specialist will be expected to be the subject matter expert for Storage sales including Hardware, Software and Data Management into both SMB and Enterprise prospects.

The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic, professional, responsible for generating revenue by prospecting targeted accounts, sourcing leads, qualifying opportunities.

This includes outbound calling for new leads, following up leads generated by other sources, creating solution proposals and account management.

Duties:

  • Meet consistent achievement within sales activity levels
  • Manage and report on pipeline with multiple accounts, partners, opportunities and accurately forecast revenue
  • Prove success in prospecting, recruiting, cold call into new accounts
  • Cultivate relationships and expand presence in existing accounts when available
  • Prepare proposals, sales quotes and negotiate terms of sales agreement according to pricing policies
  • Efficiently manage complex sales cycles using a consultative selling approach and prioritise sales-related activities while and adapting to change
  • Articulate the organisations value proposition and maintain technical knowledge of enterprise storage technologies and general pulse of the IT landscape
  • Engage on business/technical levels to discuss solving costly storage challenges and customer pain points to any member of a given IT organisation
  • Conduct in person meetings, written communications, presentations and reports

Requirements

  • Track record of exceeding quota and penetrating net-new accounts
  • Desire to outbound call and build relationships with "hunter" like mentality
  • 2+ years of B2B solution-based sales experience, preferably storage
  • Proven work-ethic and time-management skills
  • Excellent phone skills used in contacting, relationship building, and negotiating
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial in approach to building sustainable clientele
  • Strong knowledge of storage challenges including storage, virtualization, networking, server hardware and the differences between various storage software platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of the reseller channel partners
