UX designer

SPIL GAMES is seeking an exceptional web designer who has an in-depth knowledge of user-experience design principles and is passionate about forging creative solutions. The Senior User Experience / Interaction Designer will report directly to the Director of Product Management and will be highly involved in the specifications and designs of our websites. He or she will work with multiple Scrum teams and stakeholders to create the best gaming sites in the industry. Other responsibilities and requirements include the following:

• Balancing project requirements and specifications with both business and user needs

• Prioritizing well enough to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously

• Effectively and systematically communicating functional behavior to internal stakeholders

• Working in a cross-disciplinary way (i.e., creative, technological, strategic, and marketing functions)

• Negotiating conflict and being persuasive about designs' merits and other user-experience solutions

• Identifying product issues, proposing solutions, and participating in quality-improvement activities

• Working with technology teams to update the product web style guides

• Creating end-to-end user flows and interaction models, including feature and interface designs

• Coaching the design team in best practices and industry trends

• 3+ years' experience leading a creative design team

• 5+ years' experience as a front-end web designer

• Strong design portfolio

• Proficient with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and MS Visio

• Familiar with HTML, XHTML, and CSS coding, as well as W3C standards

• Strong knowledge of internationalization and accessibility design considerations

• Solid oral and written communication skills in English

• A friendly, positive attitude and a strong work ethic

• Minimum bachelor's level of education

Desirable:

• Experience working in gaming

• Familiar with Agile (Scrum) development methodology

• Knowledge of social networking principles (Facebook Connect, Open Social, etc.)

• Experience working with AJAX and Adobe Flash
