IT specialist

The IT specialist is an expert within the Infrastructure Excellence Center (IEC). Often the role is focused on one or a few IT infrastructure areas. Main duties are to support the business organization to solve the day-to-day IT infrastructure incidents that occur.

Incidents must be managed according to SLA´s, and in close collaboration with external partners and the corporate key/end-users.

The role is not only focused on incident management. Based on the understanding of actual incidents, combined with insight in overall trends of the IT industry, the IT specialist must gain consensus on new IT infrastructure concepts and build coalitions to move improvements forward.

Your responsibilities

• Support the business organizations to coordinate and solve infrastructure related incidents
• Support improvement work according to company and IEC policies and priorities
• Support the IEC to develop improved policies and guidelines
• Verify infrastructure services during change management
• Participate as expert competence in projects
• Manage technical projects

• Good communication and IT technical skills
• Highly organized
• Pro-active/Self-motivated
• 3-5 years of experience as system or network administrator
• Fluent Dutch and English
• Located in Heerhugowaard (The Netherlands)
• MCSE / MCSA certified
• Preferably knowledge of VMWare ESX, ITIL, IBM Tivoli Storage Management, IBM AS/400 (iSeries) and/or programming languages CL and RPG
