Job description
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Salesforce Platform / Enterprise Architect (Salesforce) to lead and evolve a complex multi-country Salesforce ecosystem. This is a senior group-level leadership role with end-to-end accountability for Salesforce strategy, architecture delivery and value realisation.
Reporting directly to the CTO, this role will shape how Salesforce delivers measurable business value at scale elevating it from a set of local implementations to a truly strategic enterprise platform.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and own the group-wide Salesforce vision, strategy and operating model
- Develop and communicate a clear multi-year roadmap aligned with business priorities
- Act as the executive-level owner and single point of accountability for Salesforce
- Partner with the CTO, EXCO and senior leaders to prioritise initiatives and investment
Technical Architecture & Integration
- Provide architectural leadership across core Salesforce products including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ and Marketing Cloud as necessary
- Oversee integrations with key enterprise systems such as ERP, finance, data platforms and identity
- Guide decisions on configuration vs customisation and platform extensibility
- Act as the senior authority for complex technical decisions
Platform Ownership & Best Practices
- Establish and enforce global standards across architecture development, governance and security
- Drive consistency and reusability while balancing local regulatory needs
- Own data quality release management and platform performance standards
- Ensure Salesforce evolves as a scalable resilient enterprise platform
Business Engagement & Value Realisation
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across commercial, operational and functional teams
- Translate business needs into scalable high-impact Salesforce solutions
- Drive adoption, user experience and change management
- Measure and report on ROI usage and platform effectiveness
Delivery & Operating Model
- Oversee delivery across internal teams and external partners
- Define the optimal operating model including centralised vs federated structures, centres of excellence and partner strategy
- Manage budgets, vendors and capacity planning

Requirements
- Significant experience leading Salesforce at enterprise or group level
- Strong technical understanding of Salesforce architecture and integrations
- Proven ability to define and enforce platform standards
- Track record of delivering measurable business value in complex multi-country environments
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and technical teams
- Experience building and delivering strategic roadmaps
Desirable
- Salesforce certifications including Architect, Platform or Cloud
- Experience in federated or matrixed organisations
- Background in regulated or data-sensitive environments
- Experience modernising legacy Salesforce estates
