Software Developer

For the past 10 years, Live Wire has worked across Formula 1, supplying technology to the major teams and F1 Management. Our work varies from constructing viewer experiences in teams' hospitality suites, paddock, garages and factories elevating each of the 24 races a year. We work closely with our suppliers to deliver pioneering technology and integrate innovation into all of the work we do. Live Wire provides AV technology for all genres of events including Festivals, Concerts, Conferences, Theatre and Dance. We work with large concert halls in London such as Southbank Centre, Barbican, Sadlers Wells to provide technicians, support and equipment. Job Description: We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implement efficient code, and contribute to the overall success of our projects. Responsibilities:Develop and implement interactive video and graphics solutions usingTouchDesignerand complementary video programming tools. Maintain existing TouchDesigner-based solutions, providing remote support when necessary. Create bespoke solutions that push the boundaries of interactive media and immersive technology. Work closely with creative teams to conceptualize and execute groundbreaking projects. Enhance system performance and reliability through efficient programming and system optimizations. Develop custom shaders, scripts, and modules tailored to project-specific needs. Incorporate video programming with emerging technologies such asVR, AR, and IoT . Maintain detailed records of programming processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and software inventory. Generate reports on system performance, software upgrades, and recommendations for improvements. Stay updated on the latest trends in interactive media, video programming, and real-time rendering. Requirements:Expertise in TouchDesigner and familiarity with tools such as Resolume, Vmix, Notch, Blender, Max/MSP, or Unreal Engine. Strong knowledge of video processing, real-time rendering, and interactive media systems. Proficiency in Python essential and GLSL shaders a plus. A creative mindset with the ability to solve complex technical challenges. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
