Job description
Spectrum Scale and Unix experience is essential for this role!!!! An IBM Storage Engineer is required for a project, Crimson have recently been asked to support on. As part of this project, Crimson require a contractor who is able to provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents or problems, escalating to Senior Engineers as necessary. Responsibilities include completing tasks to high standards within established timeframes and with minimal supervision, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement, and supporting team members by offering guidance and assistance. Key skills and responsibilities, Experienced with storage solutions and IBM Flash Systems, including Global Mirror, Metro Mirror, and Change Volumes replication. Spectrum Scale and Unix experience Skilled in managing clusters and protocols (GPFS, NFS, SMB) within Spectrum Scale, Oracle, and ESXi, especially in active-active setups. Knowledgeable about GKLM/SKLM key management.
Requirements
Understands operational impacts on system availability. Proficient in IBM storage provisioning and redaction. Experienced with Linux command line and ServiceNow ticketing. Interested?!
