Job description

You'll help build, operate, and scale mission-critical database platforms across on-prem and AWS, supporting research and production systems where performance and reliability truly matter. To give a sense of scale: Each DBA owns ~400 databases, so the emphasis is firmly on automation, self-healing systems, and standardised fleet operations, not manual firefighting.

What You'll Be Doing

Building and scaling distributed database services at fleet level
Supporting large estates of PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL & CockroachDB
Driving high availability, performance tuning & disaster recovery
Designing automation for provisioning, upgrades, replication & monitoring (Python, Terraform, Ansible)
