As an IT Technician, you will be a key player in maintaining and enhancing IT infrastructure that supports both onshore offices and offshore installations. From diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues to configuring new systems, your expertise will help keep operations running smoothly.
This position demands flexibility, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional IT service - all within a collaborative and constantly evolving team setting based in Norwich.Required Skills:
Proficient in Windows 10 and 11 OS deployment and support within an Active Directory environmentExperience with Microsoft PowerShell scriptingStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Office 365 suiteSkilled in Microsoft Active Directory user account managementUnderstanding of NTFS permissions, local and Group Policy Object (GPO) security policiesHardware expertise including board-level support and configuration for desktops and laptopsExperience supporting PC peripherals, such as printersSolid foundation in networking technologies including TCP/IP, 802.1X, VLANs, DHCP, and DNSAwareness of Information Security best practices and conceptual understanding of antivirus, URL filtering, and spam identificationFamiliarity with business audio-visual systems like projectors and conferencing solutionsKnowledge of backup methodologies and availability monitoring toolsNice to Have Skills:
Experience working with offshore or remote sitesExposure to backup process managementUnderstanding of compliance with corporate policies and Health & Safety guidelinesVendor certifications such as Microsoft or CompTIAPreferred Education and Experience:
BTEC or NVQ level qualification or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA) preferredMinimum of 1 year of experience in a similar IT support technician roleOther Requirements:
