Role OverviewKey Responsibilities- Technical Support for International Game Projects Provide technical support for large scale game projects serving global markets. Review backend server architecture, data storage approaches, and network communication patterns based on the needs of each game. Deliver tailored technical solutions that improve backend performance, reliability, and scalability.- Online Service Development and Operations Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of online game services such as authentication, matchmaking, real time gameplay systems, and player data synchronization. Requirements
Extensive backend development experience, including several years working within the games industry. - Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams located in different time zones. - Demonstrated curiosity for technology, the ability to learn quickly, and strong analytical problem solving skills. - Professional working proficiency in English. Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is beneficial but not essential. - Proficiency in at least one backend programming language, with strong preference for C++ or Go. Experience building high performance, highly concurrent, and highly available systems is important, including work with threading or coroutine based architectures. - Solid understanding of distributed systems and backend technologies such as microservice based architectures, message queue platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and service discovery tools such as Etcd or ZooKeeper. - Experience working with both relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and non relational databases such as Redis or MongoDB, including database performance tuning. - Familiarity with game backend systems including matchmaking services, real time gameplay infrastructure, and network synchronization mechanisms. - Experience developing with Unreal Engine is advantageous. - Hands on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, including knowledge of their core services and architectural patterns and the ability to design backend systems suited to real world applications. - Experience using CI and CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
