- Business Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for GIS-related projects.Collaborate with project managers, business teams, and technical stakeholders to translate functional needs into GIS workflows and solutions.Prepare process flow documents, user stories, functional specifications, and impact assessments.Support testing cycles (SIT/UAT) and ensure solution alignment with business goals.2. GIS Data Management & Spatial Analysis
Manage, validate, cleanse, and transform GIS datasets to ensure quality and consistency across enterprise systems.Conduct spatial analysis, cartographic visualization, and prepare GIS-based reports/maps.Support enterprise GIS data models including feature classes, domains, topology, and versioned editing workflows.3. ETL, Automation & Data Migration
Support data migration initiatives including requirement gathering, mapping, validation, and execution.Build and maintain ETL workflows using FME Desktop / FME Server.Automate geoprocessing tasks using Python / ArcPy and other relevant tools.Ensure QA/QC checks and maintain documentation for workflows and migration processes.4. GIS Application & System Support
Assist in the development, configuration, and optimization of GIS applications (Web GIS, ESRI tools, dashboards, portals).Support integration of GIS applications with enterprise business systems.Work with ArcGIS Enterprise components such as Portal, Server, Data Store, and ArcGIS Pro.5. Database & Technical Support

Requirements
We are seeking a skilled GIS Analyst / Business Analyst with strong experience in GIS systems, spatial data management, ETL workflows, and business requirement analysis. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical GIS solutions-supporting data migration, spatial analytics, GIS application enhancements, and stakeholder coordination.
This role requires a blend of GIS technical expertise, analytical capability, and business process understanding., 8 10 years of experience in GIS analysis, GIS-based business analysis, or spatial data engineering.Strong hands-on skills with:
ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, Portal, ServerFME Desktop / FME ServerPython (ArcPy)SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, PostGIS)
Knowledge of spatial data formats (GDB, SHP, CAD, XML/JSON, Raster).Experience creating documentation, BRDs, functional specs, workflow diagrams, and migration plans.Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication abilities.Experience in ADO.Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in Utility Domain (Electric/Gas/Water/Fiber).Exposure to Esri Utility Network and UPDM data models.Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).Understanding of GIS automation frameworks (ModelBuilder).Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and DevOps practices.Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and quality.Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross functional teams.Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
