Based inAnnesley , this role involves frequent travel to active sites across the region. Candidates should ideally reside within commuting distance of Nottinghamshire.This is a technically demanding role suited to a Senior Engineer with strong field experience and proficiency in geospatial data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation in support of infrastructure and environmental engineering projects. As a Geospatial Engineer, you will deliver accurate geospatial data to support planning, design, and construction operations across a range of environmental infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for undertaking topographical, boundary, and utility surveys using industry-standard and advanced instrumentation and software.What you will be doing:Establish engineering control and perform data capture activities using geospatial, GNSS and traditional methods.Oversee Geospatial and Assistant Geospatial EngineersBe responsible as a Remote Pilot for any UAS operation under your control, ensuring the operation is undertaken safely and in accordance with statuary compliance standards.Assist in operational maintenance and conducting regular inspections on the geospatial equipment.Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.Undertake material reconciliations using DTM software.Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.Produce 2D and 3D site drawings.Assist in maintaining quality records for data capture, ensuring all work is undertaken in accordance with the client's specifications.Assist in basic planning, monitoring and programming.Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations.Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.About You:Ability to read and interpret data and drawings.Confident with Standard geospatial data capture techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.Flexible attitude to work.Problem solving skills.Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the Galliford Try values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration.What You BringA strong ethical mindset-open, honest, and accountable.Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.A desire to continuously learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to our purpose, values, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.Resilience, relationship-building skills, and a genuine can-do attitude.SMSTS.Relevant CSCS card.General Visual Certification for UAS operationsWhat We Can Offer in Return: With an impressive order book of over £4.1 billion we are one of the industry's leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
