process improvement projects, preparation of investment papers and will take ownership of delivering relevant sections in any deal related regulatory requirements under the LSE regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesQuickly develop an understanding of the target business and its driversProvide pre deal funding options analysis and standalone and integrated economic model support to the M&A teamCollaborate across various departments and subject matter experts (internally and externally)Interpretation and due diligence of financial information, information memoranda, publicly available information on the target businessEvaluation of potential synergies and appropriately reflect this in the valuation modelsReporting of potential key issues including identification of risk or price affecting considerations to the DCFO / CFO and M&A deal teamReview of sale and purchase agreement alongside legal team and correlating findings of due diligence process thereinPreparation of databooks and relevant analysis such as EV to equity bridge, source and uses for the M&A transaction as requiredRaise questions and additional information requests via M&A teamSupport with any debt financing discussionsTake ownership of deal close financing processes including credit rating agency, fairness opinions, deal prospectus support (where relevant) and deal related finance closuresPreparation and input into the investment case / Board material for CFO reviewAssist in setting up and managing datarooms for corporate finance related informationIn case external DD experts are hired, then proactively manage due diligence advisors and process, budget, engagement letters, etc and regularly report any finding to the CFO and M&A deal teamSupport any relevant finance integration and interim period requirementsOtherSupport CFO in managing and enhancing relationship with the existing and potential debt providers and gathering market intelligenceInvolvement in capital market financingPreparation of summary materials, presentations and reports as required by the CFOLiaise with accountants, lawyers, financial experts and regulatory bodies, as requiredAd-hoc involvement with strategic initiatives as requiredBackground And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
