Document Controller | Engineering Projects & Asset Handover | Oxford (On-site)BioTalent are partnered with a growing organisation in Oxford delivering complex engineering and facilities projects, alongside managing operational assets.They are looking for a Document Controller who understands engineering environments, not just admin processes.This role sits at the centre of project delivery, supporting everything from live builds through to handover and long-term asset documentation.The RoleYou will take ownership of engineering documentation across multiple projects and operational assets, ensuring everything from drawings to O&M manuals is accurate, controlled, and ready for handover. You'll be working directly with engineers and contractors, dealing with real-world project pressure, incomplete information, and tight timelines.What You'll Actually Be DoingManaging engineering drawings, technical documents, and revision controlOwning document control processes across active projectsCoordinating O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and handover packsAdministering and improving the electronic Document Management System (DMS)Working closely with engineers, contractors, and facilities teams to chase and validate documentationSupporting project handover and asset documentation readinessDriving improvements in document workflows, structure, and standardsEnsuring documentation is audit-ready and aligned to project requirementsWhat We're Looking ForYou've likely worked as a:Document ControllerEngineering Document ControllerProject Document ControllerWithin:Engineering projectsConstruction / infrastructureFacilities or asset-heavy environmentsMore importantly:You understand O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and project handover requirementsYou're used to working with engineers and contractors, not just internal teamsYou're comfortable managing large volumes of technical documentation under pressureYou've used DMS platforms and worked with CAD drawing controlThis role suits someone who enjoys structure, but can also handle the reality of live engineering projects.Why This RoleExposure to real engineering and facilities projects, not just admin workflowsCentral role in project delivery and handoverOpportunity to improve and shape document control systemsStable, growing environment with ongoing project activityLocationOxford, on-site.Candidates must be able to commute or relocate.
