Principal Software Engineer

Job Title: Sr. Software EngineerWork Schedule: Onsite 5 daysLocation: London, EnglandJob Summary:We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to own and accelerate our product delivery pipeline - from back-end database optimization to client-facing interactive dashboards and reporting platforms. This is a builder role. You will work directly alongside the Head of Data & Customer Analytics to identify bottlenecks, design improvements, and push products from backlog to production. You will be embedded in a small, high-output team where your contributions are immediately visible and impactful.Responsibilities:Optimize and maintain a Treasury Dashboard hosted in client Azure environments (currently Streamlit-based; you will evaluate and drive the framework roadmap)Lead the build of a web-based, interactive Risk Reporting platform - replacing a PDF solution with a scalable, multi-prime broker plug-and-play productReduce client onboarding time for new reporting deployments to under two weeksImprove load times and performance across existing data pipelines and dashboardsIntegrate external and client-side data sources into existing reporting infrastructureWork across the full stack: database layer, back-end logic, front-end delivery.Qualifications:Advanced Python: data processing, scripting, web frameworks (Streamlit, Django, or equivalent)C / C++: performance optimisation, low-level processingJava: application-level developmentMicrosoft Azure: cloud deployment and hosted application environmentsDatabase optimisation: SQL, query tuning, load performanceFront-end development: web performance, interactive UI components, data visualisationExperience building or replicating BI/reporting tools (Tableau-equivalent functionality, interactive charts, drill-down tables) Similar jobs, Principal Software Engineer Hours: 40h p/w Location: Remote Salary:60k-70k Build the platforms that power better travel money At eurochange , we're transforming foreign exchange - making it better, simpler and more convenient for millions of customers.
