Business DescriptionSpectrum Geosurvey specialise in coastal geophysical surveys, supporting a wide range of clients in the offshore renewables sector. We have a proven track record delivering the highest-quality hydrographic and geophysical survey data. Spectrum Geosurvey are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our growing team based in our Lymington office.Position OverviewAs a Senior Geophysicist, you will be predominantly responsible for leading a field team, acquiring geophysical data as well as assisting data processing and interpretation when in the office. It is a great opportunity to build on your skills and gain further exposure to a variety of interesting projects in the offshore renewable energy sector.Successful applicants shall have a strong background in geophysics and geology and should have a working knowledge of marine surveying. They will be a role model to more junior members of the team and will assist in their training. Supported by an experienced and committed team, successful candidates will be developing skill sets to carry out the following tasks within our growing company.Role Responsibilities Undertake fieldwork for extended periods of time away from home on projects onshore and offshoreLead offshore surveys as a Party ChiefAbility to PM intermediate - complex projectsAssist in leading data acquisition, maintain accurate records and assist in maintaining quality and consistency of field data, data processing, deliverable creation, and data management.Assist Processing and reporting managers with reporting, charting & data managementAssist Project Managers in project technical mattersBe a role model for more junior members of staff and lead by a good exampleBe a technical authority on geophysical survey equipment and softwareContinual training/development of junior staff and maintaining and updating training/procedural materialImplementing best practices for handling, maintaining and storing survey equipment, This is a 12 Month Fixed Term contract (Mat cover) London - two days a week on site near Bank/Monument stations Do you thrive at the intersection of analytics, product, and client strategy?
